I recently read an article about how leaders apologize in the media for their so-called wrong doings or maybe to bring about a different presepctive in the eyes of the mass....(maybe not the class!) but i do believe that it takes great guts for leaders (politicians, business leaders and other noble beings) to come up the stage & apologize to the world at large. That reminds me of a Stephen Covey quote "It takes a great deal of character strength to apologize quickly out of one's heart rather than out of pity. A person must possess himself and have a deep sense of security in fundamental principles and values in order to genuinely apologize." I definitely CANNOT disagree with Stephen Covey and I truly believe that one must seek first to understand, then to be understood!

Great stuff Sriram - keep it up - stick with lovely word stuff like this - it beats number stuff every time ... but then I am biased :-)
I have great faith when leaders and politicians apologise that most of us mere mortal human beings can see genuineness (if there is such a word) from a mile away.
An apology that is sincere and genuine is as plain as the nose on one's face. A false apology is as obvious as two noses on one's face.

Trevor,
So true..a genuine apology is always genuinely APPRECIATED! And definitely am tryin to contribute a lot of non-numbers stuff (general mgmt, leadership et al) to my blog AND at the same time to make numbers stuff SIMPLE and UNDERSTANDABLE....well, thats the very basic purpose for this blog...somethin akin to SIMPLICITY with a flavor of finance & strategy to top-up with! AM tryin my best anywayz & lookin fwd to ur support.
